Excel Blades x Papercut Parade

16 artists from The Paper Artist Collective were selected to complete a brief set by the American blade brand Excel Blades. The brief was to respond to the dictionary definition of the noun 'pattern': A repeated decorative design. I jumped at the opportunity to take part in this project as my degree works were repeated patterns inspired by natural forms, which is where I drew inspiration for this brief. The piece is 50 x 50cm in size, and incorporates both 2D and 3D hand cut paper botanical forms to create a beautiful botanical mandala with small splashes of technicolour.
